【摘要】:Vaporpressurevaluescanbeusedtopredictvolatilizationrates(5).Vaporpressures,alongwithvapor-liquidpartitioncoefficients(Henryrsquo;Lawconstant)areusedtopredictvolatilizationratesfromliquidssuchaswater.Thesevaluesarethusparticularlyimportantforthepredictionofthetransportofachemicalintheenvironment(6).1.1Thistestmethoddescribesproceduresformeasuringthevaporpressureofpureliquidorsolidcompounds.Sincenosingletechniqueisavailabletomeasurevaporpressuresfrom1X10-11to100kPa(approximately10-10to760torr),twoproceduresarepresented.Anisoteniscope(standard)procedureformeasuringvaporpressuresofliquidsfrom1X10-1to100kPa(approximately1to760torr)isavailableinTestMethodD2879.Agas-saturationprocedureformeasuringvaporpressuresfrom1X10-11to1kPa(approximately10-10to10torr)ispresentedinthistestmethod.BothproceduresaresubjectsofU.S.EnvironmentalProtectionAgencyTestGuidelines.1.2Thesetwomethodswereselectedtoprovidedataatnormalenvironmentaltemperatures(10to60176;C).Atleastthreetemperaturevaluesshouldbestudiedtoallowdefinitionofavaporpressure-temperaturecorrelation.Valuesdeterminedshouldbebasedontemperatureselectionssuchthatameasurementismadeat25176;C(asrecommendedbyIUPAC)(1),avaluecanbeinterpolatedfor25176;C,oravaluecanbereliablyextrapolatedfor25176;C.Extrapolationto25176;Cshouldbeavoidedifthetemperaturerangetestedincludesavalueatwhichaphasechangeoccurs.Extrapolationto25176;Coverarangelargerthan10176;Cshouldalsobeavoided.Thetestmethodswereselectedbecauseoftheirextendedrange,simplicity,andgeneralapplicability(2).Examplesofresultsproducedbythegas-saturationprocedureduringaninterlaboratoryevaluationaregiveninTable1.ThesedatahavebeentakenfromReference(3).1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
