【摘要】:Sulfatesandchloridesmaybefoundinfilterpluggingdepositsandfuelinjectordeposits.Theacceptabilityforuseofthefuelcomponentsandthefinishedfuelsdependsonthesulfateandchloridecontent.Totalandpotentialsulfateandtotalchloridecontent,asmeasuredbythistestmethod,canbeusedasonemeasureoftheacceptabilityofgasolinecomponentsforautomotivespark-ignitionenginefueluse.1.1Thistestmethodcoversanionchromatographicprocedureforthedeterminationofthetotalandpotentialinorganicsulfateandtotalinorganicchloridecontentinhydrousandanhydrousdenaturedethanoltobeusedinmotorfuelapplications.Itisintendedfortheanalysisofethanolsamplescontainingbetween0.55and20mg/kgoftotalinorganicsulfate,4.0to20mg/kgofpotentialinorganicsulfate,and0.75to50mg/kgoftotalinorganicchloride.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.MaterialSafetyDataSheetsareavailableforreagentsandmaterials.Reviewthemforhazardspriortousage.
