【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheapparentviscosityofhotmeltadhesivesandcoatingmaterialscompoundedwithadditivesandhavingapparentviscositiesupto200000millipascalsecond(mPaús)(Note3)attemperaturesupto175?C(347?F).Note1-Althoughprecisionhasnotbeenstudied,thisproceduremaybeadaptabletoviscositieshigherthanthepresent200000-mPaúslimitandtemperaturesabove175?C(347?F).Equipmentdescribedinthistestmethodpermitstestingofmaterialshavingviscositiesashighas16x10mPaúsandprovidestemperaturesupto260?C(500?F).Note2-Forpetroleumwaxesandtheirblendshavingapparentviscositiesbelow15mPaús,TestMethodD445isespeciallyapplicable.Note3-Onepascalsecond(Paús)=1000centipoise(CP);onemillipascalsecond=onecentipoise.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
