【摘要】:Thesedigitalreferenceimagesareintendedforreferenceonly,butaredesignedsuchthatacceptancestandards,whichmaybedevelopedforparticularrequirements,canbespecifiedintermsofthesedigitalreferenceimages.Theillustrationsaredigitalimagesofcastingsthatwereproducedunderconditionsdesignedtodevelopthediscontinuities.GradedDiscontinuities:Gasholes,spongeshrinkage,dendriticshrinkage,lessdenseforeignmaterial(1)Theimagesofthe1/8-in(3.2-mm)castingsareintendedtobeusedinthethicknessrangeuptoandincludingx00BC;-in(6.3-mm).Theimagesofthe3/8-in(9.5-mm)castingsareintendedtobeusedinthethicknessrangeofoverx00BC;-in(6.4-mm),uptoandincludingx00BD;-in(12.7-mm).Theimagesofthex00BE;-in(19.1-mm)castingsareintendedtobeusedinthethicknessrangeofoverx00BD;-in(12.7-mm),uptoandincluding1-in.(25.4-mm).CavityShrinkage,FilamentaryShrinkage:(1)Theimagesofthex00BE;-in(19.1-mm)castingsareintendedtobeusedinthethicknessrangeuptoandincluding1-in.(25.4-mm).UngradedDiscontinuities:Theimagesofthe3/8-in(9.5-mm)castingsareintendedtobeusedinthethicknessrangeuptoandincluding1-in.(25.4-mm).ImageDeterioration8212;Manyconditionscanaffecttheappearanceandfunctionalityofdigitalreferenceimages.Forexample,electricalinterference,hardwareincompatibilities,andcorruptedfilesanddriversmayaffecttheirappearance.ThePracticeE2002linepairgaugeslocatedineachdigitalreferenceimagecanbeusedasanaidtodetectimagedeteriorationbycomparingthemeasuredresolutionusingthegaugestotheresolutionstatedonthedigitalreferenceimage.Donotusethedigitalreferenceimagesiftheirappearancehasbeenadverselyaffectedsuchthattheinterpretationanduseoftheimagescouldbeinfluenced.Agreementshouldbereachedbetweencognizantengineeringorganizationandthesupplierthatthesystemusedbythesupplieriscapableofdetectingandclassifyingtherequireddiscontinuities.1.1Thedigitalreferenceimagesprovidedintheadjuncttothisstandardillustratevarioustypesanddegreesofdiscontinuitiesoccurringinthin-wallsteelinvestmentcastings.Useofthisstandardforthespecificationorgradingofcastingsrequiresprocurementoftheadjunctdigitalreferenceimageswhichillustratethediscontinuitytypesandseveritylevels.Theyareintendedtoprovidethefollowing:1.1.1Aguideenablingrecognitionofthin-wallsteelcastingdiscontinuitiesandtheirdifferentiationbothastotypeanddegreethroughdigitalradiographicexamination.1.1.2Exampledigitalradiographicillustrationsofdiscontinuitiesandanomenclatureforreferenceinacceptancestandards,specificationsanddrawings.1.2Twoillustrationcategoriesarecoveredasfollows:1.2.1Graded8212;Sixcommondiscontinuitytypeseachillustratedineightdegreesofprogressivelyincreasingseverity.1.2.2UngradedMIL-HDBK-694A, MILITARY STANDARDIZATION HANDBOOK ALUMINUM AND ALUMINUM ALLOYS (15 DEC 1966)., This is one of a group of handbooks covering metallic and nonmetallic materials used in design and construction of military equipment.
